The latest superhero blockbuster has a twisted sense of humour. This memorable ‘antihero’ Deadpool from Marvel Comics has a talkative nature and a unique take on the genre.

Deadpool first appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009. It was a passion project for Ryan Reyold’s to give this cheeky superhero a film of his own.

What’s the story?
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, who was bestowed with special powers after going through an experimental treatment for cancer, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool.

Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life. Violent and gory at times this movie isn’t for the faint-hearted.
