Allison Langdon has opened up after her horrific ordeal, sharing some of the gory details.
The journalist suffered from a watersports stunt gone terribly wrong while filming for a segment on the Today show.
She has since undergone knee surgery after she fell from a hydrofoil during a pre-recorded segment on the Gold Coast on February 4.
Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Thursday, Allison shared for the first time the extent of her injuries.
She told the radio hosts she’d suffered from a bit more than a “bruised kneecap”.
“I’ve done a right royal job on it,” Allison said, revealing she’d actually broken her leg and dislocated a knee.
“That sounds horrific!” said radio host Jackie ‘O’.
When asked about her return to Today, she said optimistically: “I’m desperate to get back, I actually miss Karl and the team. A couple more weeks and then hopefully.”
A Channel Nine spokesperson described in a statement what had happened as “an unfortunate accident”
“After nearly an hour of incident-free filming of a segment about hydrofoiling, Ally fell awkwardly as she headed back to the marina at the end of the shoot,” they said.
