The world is still reeling from Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank’s baby announcement, but nobody is excited as the royal family.

Princess Eugenie posted two photos on her Instagram account revealing the incredible news, with the caption; “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021.”

Buckingham Palace also confirmed the news and the royal family shared their excitement on social media.

The official Kensington Palace account was one of the 400,000 people who liked their sweet post.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also “liked” Eugenie's Instagram announcement from their own accounts.

Eugenie and Jack's baby will join a number other beautiful royal children and will hopefully be a new friend for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's kids: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The royal family's Twitter account, has also reacted to the baby news, saying, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021.”

“The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news.”

While there has been no official date of the little tyke’s arrival, it's believed Eugenie could give birth between the months of January and April 2021.

Several royal birthdays fall at the start of the year – including Eugenie's on 23 March – meaning the child could share a birthday with another royal.
