Discover and celebrate the finest local and regional produce Australia has to offer, as Brisbane becomes the centre of the food and wine universe across three dynamic days from October 17 to 19 at the Good Food & Wine Show, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Take a step back to the simple pleasures in life, participate in masterclasses and chat with local farmers, producers and winemakers.
This year’s show will feature regional producers from every corner of Queensland so you can discover local labels you won’t find in the supermarket. Meet and greet some of the finest food artisans, from Gympie to Northern NSW and sample what could be your new pantry must-haves.
What to expect this year:
The Courier Mail Theatre presented by Ilve – Watch and learn from the best local and interstate chefs and TV personalities in Australia, Alastair McLeod, Matt Golinski, Matt Moran, Miguel Maestre, Maggie Beer and Matt Stone. Sessions are free, but remember to book your seat in advance so you don’t miss out (General ticket entry $25).
Riedel Wine Theatre – Always wanted to learn more about Semillions from the Hunter Valley, the beauty of bubbles or big reds from the Barossa? Then enjoy the free pallet appreciation class on the hour.
Laucke Creative Kitchen – No energy for mid-week meals? Be inspired by Sammy and Bella from My Kitchen Rules as they give you quick and easy cooking tips that will impress!
Nespresso Experience – Be a home barista to be reckoned with! Explore the latest coffee innovations and brewing techniques.
Cheese Alley by Tuckers Natural – Buffalo mozzarella, cheddar, camembert, goat’s cheese or creamy bries, discover your cheese crush and meet Australia’s finest makers.
Nip of Courage Grazing Garden – famed food trucks from around Brisbane (including The Bun Mobile, That BBQ Joint and Siguenos) have been mustered into green and grassy pastures so you can eat, chat and relax whilst sipping premium cocktails and wines.
Taking it to the next level - Relax in the exclusive VIP lounge and enjoy a flowing supply of premium Australian wines from Coonawarra and a selection of craft beers whilst indulging in canapés inspired by our celebrity chefs. Riedel Glass Tasting – Discover how varietal specific glasses affect your wine palate whilst tasting Robert Oatley’s reserve range of Finisterre Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Miguel’s Spanish Fiesta – Surround yourself in a Spanish fiesta out on the terrace, with sangria, music and a paella cooking class with the King of Spanish cuisine, Miguel Maestre.Try one og his recipes today - Scallops with grilled corn salsa or try out Matt Moran's Porchetta sliders.
