Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are celebrating the safe arrival of their first child.
He was born on February 9th at the Portland Hospital in London.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital,” a statement from Buckingham Palace confirmed.

“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

A name has not yet been announced for the boy, and royal fans are speculating as to what the baby will be called.
As it is the Queen’s ninth great-grandchild, there are rumours that Eugenie will choose a name that keeps with royal tradition as she is incredibly close to her grandparents.

Royal baby name expert Jennifer Moss said that while the Queen has final say over the child’s name, she is unlikely to veto any names chosen.

“Traditionally, this process took much longer with Queen Elizabeth waiting around a month to announce Prince Charles’ name,” she said. “However, names are now announced publicly much sooner, with Prince Charles and Lady Diana taking a week to announce Prince William’s name.

“Prince Harry’s name was announced on the very same day.”
