With winter fast approaching, Aldi is bringing back their unforgettable sale.

After pausing the sale last year as the COVID-19 pandemic hit Australia, the supermarket’s annual snow sale will return on Saturday, May 22.

In previous sales, swarms of shoppers often try “working in teams” to score the best deals.

The yearly sale sees the Garman retailers roll out everything from jackets and under layers to goggles and boots, so Aussie shoppers can pick up everything they need to stay warm and dry while in the snow.

Aldi’s Premium range of snow gear – available in men’s, women’s, and children’s sizes – is designed in Austria and said to withstand all extreme weather conditions from the Alps to the Snowy Mountains.

According to the retailer, there will be enough gear that shoppers can clothe a family of four from head-to-toe for less than $1000. The fill catalogue featuring the sale items will be released on Wednesday, May 12.

A sneak peek of the line-up revealed six varieties of jackets for adults and four varieties of snow pants. The jackets range from light knit jackets ($39.99) to a windproof, waterproof shell jacket with a removable inner jacket ($119.99).

The kids range will include five varieties of snow jackets and two varieties of snow pants for two to 14-year-olds.

The sale, traditionally taking place each May, attracts thousands of shoppers looking to pick up a good deal of snow gear.

In 2017, the winter sale caused chaos in stores across the country with shoppers pushing and shoving  to get through the aisles.

Australia’s ski and snow retail sector, worth an estimated $2 billion a year, is dominated by Aldi’s annual sale.
