South Australian Country Music Festival

The 36th Annual South Australian Country Music Festival is now the biggest and most important event on the South Australian Country Music Circuit and one of the Riverland's Major Events.

The SA Country Music Awards will also be held during the Festival on the 6th - 7th -8th June, culminating in the Sunday Spectacular on 8th June at Barmera Monash Football Club.

The South Australian Country Music Festival & Awards has for the past 36 years remained the biggest and the most prestigious of its kind in the State.

New and young talent is discovered every year and the event is known as the "Friendly Festival." It also boasts a Country Music Hall of Fame and a Hands of Fame Park.

The SA Sunday Spectacular will be held in the Barmera Monash Football Club and is another highlight with beautiful Lake Bonney as a backdrop to the day-long show.

National artists along with the best South Australian talent will appear at some ninety shows over ten days in twenty venues and shows are held indoors or in heated marquees.

Thousands of visitors from across Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand make the trip to the Riverland to enjoy ten days of fun and Country Music, each year fans visiting Australia from places as far away as Sweden, England and the USA have stayed to attend this wonderful event.
