The Truffle Kerfuffle

The Truffle Kerfuffle has become a must-attend annual event highlighting the amazing regional food and wine of the Southern Forest in Australia’s South West.

With such a resounding response to last year’s event, this unique foodie festival has now been expanded from one day to a weekend culinary and sensory journey.

This year the Truffle Kerfuffle will be jam packed with the ultimate in food and wine taste sensations and local creations and with the participation of celebrity Chef Guy Grossi, of the popular Food Safari series it is sure to be extra special.

Your journey will begin with a Friday evening ‘Hunt and Harvest’ gala dinner comprising a five course, wine matched menu with transfers available from your accommodation, where you can indulge in the local produce prepared by some of the best chefs in the business, highlighted by the great Manjimup Black Truffle.

Waking late on the Saturday, you can participate in the truffle hunt, a master class, wonder around the busy, bustling farmers market or take part in one of the Farmers Kitchen experiences, from learning about truffles and their origins to hearing from author/journo Louise Fitzroy with her book, from Paddock to Plate, or just relaxing with a glass of wine in hand taking in the beautiful surrounds.

Saturday evening there will be another ‘Hunt and Harvest’ gala dinner, both are nearly pre-booked, as the dinners are a highlight of the weekend, so be quick!

Sunday will be another glorious day of truffle hunting, farmers markets, demonstrations and other fabulous foodie experiences.
