The full cast of the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars has been revealed, with the contestants ready for their foray into the world of glitz and glamour.

This year, the contestants range from athletes and musicians, to reality TV personalities and niche experts in food and quizzing.

Matt Preston, food critic and former judge on MasterChef Australia will be making his TV comeback in the new season, as he swaps his taste testing for tap shoes.

Preston, who left Network Ten in 2019, took to Instagram with a photo of himself on the set for the show, as the caption read, “So, time for something totally new and way out of my comfort zone!”

Joining Preston in the star-studded cast is former Bachelor winner Laura Bryne, The Chase Australia quizmaster Issa Schultz, and Australian actors Mary Coustas, Christie Whelan Browne, Emily Weir, Virginia Gay and Pia Miranda.

Better Homes & Gardens host Charlie Albone will also be competing for the trophy, alongside performers Paulini and Human Nature singer Phil Burton.

Representing sport, Olympians Sally Pearson and James Magnussen and AFL legend Gavin Wanganeen make up the cast.

Sonia Kruger and Daryl Somers will also be returning as hosts for the new season of the show.

Upon releasing the cast, Seven didn’t reveal an official air date but added DWTS would return to screens soon.
