Sunrise host Samantha Armytage has tied the knot with her millionaire businessman partner, Richard Lavender, on New Year’s Eve at his sprawling country property in Bowral, NSW.

It was revealed last Saturday that the private, small ceremony was kept under wraps until the “eleventh hour”.

It has also been revealed Sam did not invite any of her Sunrise co-hosts, with neither David ‘Kochie’ Koch nor the show’s executive producer Michael Pell in attendance.

Socialite Skye Leckie did get an invite, however, for apparently help match the couple together in 2019.

The ceremony was kept such a tight-lipped secret and the guest list is believed to have been kept so small due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Fans, however, were not too pleased after the Channel Seven breakfast program failed to mention the nuptials following the event.

While viewers hoped for exclusive footage of the special moment, they were left sorely disappointed when Friday’s program, filled in by hosts Mark Beretta and Edwina Bartholomew, gave no details away of the special day.

The pair married at Richard’s home around midday, and then moved to a luncheon at the Centennial Vineyards Restaurant in Bowral.

The intimate ceremony only included a small number of guests, with Richard’s daughters Sasha and Grace believed to be a part of the intimate day.

Armytage announced her engagement to Richard in late June, with the pair walking down the aisle just six months later.
