Alan Jones won’t be appearing on his regular TV show for a few weeks due to an illness.

A member of his team updated his Facebook saying the 81-year-old is in hospital but “all is okay”.

“This is to advise that Alan is off air and will be for some weeks,” the post read.

“He is in hospital, but all is okay.

“Alan apologises to his loyal viewers.”

His fans wished him a speedy recovery hoping to see him back on air very soon.

“Praying for a full recovery Alan. We need your plain common sense messages to keep us all informed on the political scene,” someone wrote.

“Praying for a good recovery Alan, take it easy,” another commented.

“Wishing you a speedy recovery, we need your voice so greatly!!” another comment read.

“Looking forward to hearing from you after you make a full recovery…rest up and get well soon Alan,” one wrote.

“So sorry to hear you are in hospital. I wish you a very speedy recovery,” another read.

This is not the first time the journalist has disappeared from his shows due to illness.

In the past few years, the former radio host has been in and out of hospital due to the flu, back pain and knee reconstructions.

Despite all this, his fans are encouraged to get in contact with him via email on alanjones@adh.tv.
