Julie Bishop has refuelled rumours about her romance with entrepreneur Luke Hepworth, after the pair were spotted attending a glitzy event for champagne house Moёt & Chandon.
The former foreign minister wore a form-hugging black gown, accessorised with a clear clutch with silver studs that matched her crystal drop earrings, with Hepworth donning a suit and a bow tie.
“An Exceptionally Effervescent Evening with @moetchandon,” Bishop wrote on social media, sharing a pair of snaps from the event.
The event is the latest in a series of outings where Bishop and Henderson were seen together, prompting rumours they are together.
However, the self-described “adventure philanthropist” and “Virgin Galactic future astronaut” has previously debunked theories that he has been seeing Bishop romantically, telling the Daily Telegraph in November that they were working on a project together.
“We are working on a charity project for the Children’s Cancer Institute. We are definitely not dating, mate,” he told the outlet.
“I am not in a relationship.
“She is just a good friend of mine and a wonderful human, so we have been to a couple of charity events.”
Hepworth also said he has known the former politician for several years.
The rumours come after Bishop split from her long-term partner, David Panton, in July after they were in a long-distance relationship for years, with Bishop based in Perth and Panton living in Sydney.
“I’m going to be focused on living in Manly and Melbourne for the foreseeable future,” Panton said in a statement at the time.
“I wish Julie all the best in her ongoing stellar career.”
