Kochie has shared a series of photos from his daughter’s wedding day, describing the celebrations as “Fun, emotional, beautiful” and “All about family.”
The Sunrise presenter is in the UK for the big day, with his youngest child Georgie tying the knot to long-time partner Alex Merkel, known affectionately to the Koch family as ‘the German’, in an outdoor ceremony in Regent’s Park, London.
Kochie looked every inch the proud father as he walked Georgie down the aisle on Saturday, after having spent the previous two weeks getting to know Alex’s parents, Uwe and Gerlind, in England.
He said, “Great to have the entire family together. Even though it was our fourth [family] wedding of our youngest daughter Georgie, it was just as beautiful, fun and emotional as the other three.”
Georgie and Alex, who live in London, got engaged in September 2020.
Kochie recently announced he would be taking three weeks off from hosting Sunrise to attend Georgie’s overseas wedding, and spend some long overdue time with family.
