A woman was left baffled after noticing black dots appearing in her kitchen.

Turning to the internet for answers, the nasty truth came forward which would give most people goosebumps.

Sharing a photo to the Facebook group Mrs Hinch’s Cleaning Tips, the woman asked: “Does anyone have any idea what these marks could be?”

“They started appearing on the tiles in the kitchen in random little patches.

“Then this morning this was on top of the PC we have in the kitchen.”

The question attracted plenty of homeowners, as it seemed they were familiar with the common problem.

“Spider poo,” one user replied.

“It washes off with no effort.”

“Look above and you will probably see a web/spider,” another said.

“It happens a lot this time of year – spiders pooing everywhere,” said a third.

“Look closely on skirting boards or walls of your house to see if there is anything unusual resembling a paint splatter,” added a fourth.

“If you find any, you are looking at the spider poop.”
